The slight scratching of a fountain pen on a sheet of paper,
The satisfactory “click” noise when I put the cap on my pen,
Deep, slow voices, female or male,
The shutter noise of a camera,
The smell of certain books,
The smell of wet dirt at around 6 to 7 am in spring and summer,
The texture of a piece of denim jeans,
Cutting food with a plain edged knife,
Metal being worked on an anvil,
The taste of buttered bread dipped in sweet mint tea,
“Jigoku Sensei” by Soutaisei Riron –
None of these things are a big deal, yet, they are still significant in my life.
Small things that give life its flavor.
